Klaus Stadler, born in Dresden in 1945, has lived in the Munich area since 1952, studied political science, history and singing in Munich; assistant at the LMU Munich, doctorate in 1977 under Kurt Sontheimer with a thesis on the conflict in Northern Ireland. From 1977 to 2008, non-fiction editor at the Munich publishing house Piper Verlag, as well as lecturer in book studies at the LMU Munich for many years. Lives in Gräfelfing since 1977, married, three children.
