Event Summary.
Einstein, Bohr, Heisenberg and the innermost parts of the world
In the 1920s the “hour of the physicists” arrived. The well-known natural science historian Ernst Peter Fischer will talk richly in anecdotes, vividly and vividly about the great decade of physics, and also a lot about the brilliant protagonists such as Max Planck, Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, Lise Meitner, Werner Heisenberg and Wolfgang Pauli. There was unimaginable creativity back then. The end result was quantum mechanics, which we use as a matter of course today. Its highlight is also a greatly changed image of the world behind things: there is only movement, in reality as well as in knowledge and thought. And everywhere the energy keeps things going. Fischer's book on the subject was published in 2022.
Prof. Dr. Ernst Peter Fischer,Born in 1947, is a physicist, biologist and science historian. He taught at the universities of Konstanz and Heidelberg. Fischer has published countless books, the most important of which is “The Other Education. What you should know about the natural sciences.” Most recently, among other things: “Why do the stars twinkle? The wonders of the world explained scientifically” and “The hour of the physicists”.
